Do you think this bedding will look good with dark blue and brown pillows?

I want to purchase some yellow bedding. I need to keep the pillows and accessories I already have but they are shades of blue and brown. The accent rug is a short shag carpet with brown and lighter blue threads. I want to throw in my international items like my wooden animals, hand fan collection, etc. Do you think that would all work?

Yes I think it sounds beautiful. Yellow always goes with blue no matter what shade it is. You may even want to paint your walls a cream/light yellow, with one pale blue accent wall by the bed. Pop in some blue and yellow accessories along with what you already have and it will be great. Put a blue pillow in the center of the yellow pillows and don't forget window treatments to match. Have fun.

I was thinking maybe a light purple on 3 walls and then the same color as the purple in the bedding on one of the walls.

That could work. Or if you don't want there to be too much purple, you could use light grey on 3 walls with the darker purple on one wall. that shade of purple also works well with lime green (just splashes...like cushions or lamps) -
